Biography
Tomb Mold, a Canadian death metal band from Toronto, was formed in 2016 by Derrick Vella on bass and guitars, Max Klebanoff on drums and vocals, Payson Power on guitars, and Steve Musgrave on bass. Their debut studio album Primordial Malignity was released in 2017, marking their entry into the death metal scene. In 2018, they followed up with Manor of Infinite Forms, and in 2019, they released Planetary Clairvoyance. After a period of relative inactivity, Tomb Mold returned with the EP Aperture of Body in 2022. Their fourth album, The Enduring Spirit, was announced on September 11, 2023, and released just four days later, receiving positive reception and being longlisted for the 2024 Polaris Music Prize.
