Tom Albrecht (born 9â¯Juneâ¯1980 in Haan, Germany) is a German singer and songwriter who began piano lessons at six. In 1994 he coâfounded the hipâhop group Wise Economicxs with Dior da Silva, and the duoâs debut single "Wir sind eins" entered the German charts in Augustâ¯2003. Shortly thereafter, Tom Albrecht released his debut solo album Sing on 17â¯Novemberâ¯2003, following a highâprofile opening act for Pur. In 2004 he received the NachwuchsâFörderpreis der Goldenen Stimmgabel for emerging talent. His second album, Radio Tom, followed on 25â¯Novemberâ¯2005, and he performed as the opening act for Christina Stürmerâs SchwarzâWeiÃâTour. Tom Albrecht contributed to the songwriting team 3typen, writing the title track "Lebe Lauter" and other songs for Stürmerâs 2006 album Lebe lauter, with the single "Scherbenmeer" released in Marchâ¯2007. In 2007 his composition "Ich sehe was, was du nicht siehst" became the title song for the Endemol production Big Brother seasonâ¯7. In 2016 he released the album Tage aus Licht with singer Sarah Bühler under the band name Soolo. His work has earned chart placements and industry recognition, including the 2004 Golden Voice Award.
