Tish Hinojosa is an American singer-songwriter born as Leticia Hinojosa on December 6, 1955, in San Antonio. She achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by a bilingual repertoire in Spanish and English and for her studio recording Culture Swing (1992) receiving the NAIRD indie folk album of the year award. Hinojosa achieved professional recognition for a career that began after she studied traditional Mexican folksongs and served as the youngest of 13 children. Her recording career began with the debut studio recording Taos to Tennessee (1987) followed by the studio recording Homeland (1989). Hinojosa achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Destiny's Gate (1994) released on the label Warner Bros. Records.
