Biography
Founded in Tokyo in 2011, Thousand Eyes is a melodic death metal band formed by Dougen Kubota (vocals) and Kouta Nagatomo (guitar). Originally created as a musical project, Kubota and Nagamoto expanded their duo in 2012 joined by Akira Tanaka (bass guitar), Toru Noya (guitar) and Yuki Hasgawa (known as Juhki) (drums) and the band released their debut album Bloody Empire in March, 2013. Shortly after this release, Juhki departed the group and was replaced by Fumiya Morishita, followed by a brief hiatus in 2014 while Kubota recovered from throat trouble. THe band regrouped in 2015, releasing their second album Endless Nightmare with Kubota launching his own label Bloody Empire for the release of the bandâs third album âDay of Salvationâ in 2018. 2019 saw the departure of yet another drummer, with Morishita replaced by Yuto Sugano (known as YU-TO) in 2019. In 2022 the band released two singles âBETRAYERâ and âDead Blind Nightfallâ.
