Biography
GALNERYUS is a heavy metal band formed in Osaka in 2001 by guitarist Syu and vocalist YAMA-B. They made their debut in 2002 with the single âREBEL FLAGâ on the IRON SHOCK label. They subsequently made their major-label debut in 2003 with their first album âThe Flag of Punishmentâ . Their sound is characterized by a grand and technically intricate fusion of power metal, neoclassical metal, symphonic metal, and progressive metal. The band consists of five members: Syu (guitar), Sho (vocals), Yuhki (keyboards), Taka (bass), and LEA (drums). Their major works include the albums âAngel of Salvationâ (2012), âUNDER THE FORCE OF COURAGEâ (2015), as well as the singles âHUNTING FOR YOUR DREAMâ (2012) and âRAISE MY SWORDâ (2015), and have received high acclaim in the metal scene both domestically and internationally. Their latest release is their 14th album, âA CRY FROM THE SKY ABOVEâ (2026).
