Biography
The Trilobites were an Australian power pop band formed in Sydney in June 1984. The original members included Mike Dalton on vocals, Scot Leighton on bass guitar, Martin Martini and Paul Skates on guitars, and Paul Styman on drums. Their first two singles, "Venus in Leather" (1985) and "American T.V." (1986), reached Number 1 on the alternative chart. In 1987, they released their debut live album, Turn It Around. The band signed with the rooArt label in 1989, releasing the EP I Can't Wait for Summer to End (1989), and their debut studio album, Savage Mood Swing, in 1990. Following a European tour later that year, the band faced internal changes and lineup shifts. In 1992, they released their final album, The Lost Generation, before disbanding. The original lineup reunited for a series of shows in Sydney in 1996.
