Biography
The Tallywags is a short-lived project put together by British musicians with a punk background. Formed in 2018, it includes vocalist and guitarist Tom Spencer, who has played with The Man They Couldn't Hang, The Yo-Yo's and The Professionals, along with drummer Paul Cook (ex-Sex Pistols) and guitarist Chris McCormack (3 Colours Red). The three musicians are joined by the guitarist known as Olga (born Michael Algar), who has been the founder and leader of Toy Dolls since 1979 and played bass with The Dickies in the early 2000s. Brother of Chris McCormack and also a member of The Yo-Yo's and The Wildhearts, bassist Danny McCormack joins the band, who record the single "Charge of the Light Brigade", in support of Team England at the 2018 Football World Cup in Russia. When the single is re-released in 2025, it reaches No. 62 on the physical sales chart.
