Biography

The Riptide Movement is an Irish rock band formed in Dublin in 2006, consisting of Malachy Tuohy, John Dalton, Gerry McGarry, and Gar Byrne. Their early years saw the release of a debut EP featuring songs like "Early Years" and "Green Tortoise". After relocating to London, they performed at venues such as The Spice of Life and The Barfly. Their breakthrough came with What About the Tip Jars?, produced by Tony Colton and released on May 1, 2009. Subsequent albums include Keep On Keepin' On (2012), which reached number 6 on the Irish Albums Chart, and Getting Through (2014), which topped the charts with the hit single "All Works Out". The band has toured extensively across Europe, Asia, and the USA, performing at major festivals such as Glastonbury and Electric Picnic.
