The Chapel Choir of Trinity College Oxford, the university founded in 1555, is made up of eight scholarship singers and around 30 volunteer choristers from all over Oxford, the majority of whom are students at the institution. The choir sings Vespers every Sunday and occasional weekday services to mark College events such as Founder's Day. Unlike many colleges, Trinity College is one of the few in Oxford not to have a music director. Responsibility for overseeing the chapel choir therefore falls to the scholarship organists, under the supervision of the chaplain. Since 2023, the scholarship organists and choral prize-winners have been accompanied by Sarah Tenant-Flowers and Joanna Campion-Watt. Former choral advisors to the Chapel Choir include Ralph Allwood, appointed after directing the Eton College Choir. The Chapel Choir tours abroad every year: destinations include Dublin in 2008, Rome in 2009, Paris in 2010, Barcelona in 2011 and Vienna in 2012. More recently, the Chapel Choir has performed in Valencia (2022), Ljubljana (2023) and Lyon (2024). The Choir has released a number of recordings, particularly of Christmas carols, which have become must-have albums for the festive season and regularly feature in the charts, such as Christmas Carols - The Very Best Traditional Xmas Carols & Hymns (2013), Christmas Carols - Traditional Christmas Songs, Hymns & Xmas Carols (2016), Christmas Hymns - The Very Best - A Collection of Traditional Christmas Songs (2017), Christian Christmas Carols - Christmas Hymns & Worship Songs (2018) and Christmas Hymns (2024).
