Biography
Formed in 2023 in London, The Orchestra (For Now) is an ensemble of seven musicians from Brixton and the surrounding area. Practicing muscular yet sophisticated neo-progressive rock, the band, led by Joe Scarisbrick (keyboards, vocals) and Bill Bickerstaff (guitar), also includes Lingling Baosmith (violin), Charlie Hancock (drums), Izzy (bass) and Erin (cello). The 2024 release of the debut single "Wake Robin" on the band's own label is followed by two further singles in 2025, "Skins" and "The Strip", both of which appear on the Plan 75 EP, including the UK chart-topping new track "Escape from New York".
