Biography
The National Youth Choir of Great Britain, founded in 1983 by Carl Browning, is a family of choirs for outstanding young singers aged 9 to 25. The organization comprises five main choirs and several additional programs, including the Fellowship, Young Conductors, and Young Composers schemes. The choir has performed at notable venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and the BBC Proms, collaborating with high-profile artists like Daniel Barenboim and Kylie Minogue. Their repertoire spans diverse genres and vocal styles, and they have released recordings on their own label, National Youth Choir Recordings, as well as other major labels including Decca and EMI. The choir's notable former members include pianist Rich Batsford and West End star Jon Robyns.
