The Minders, an American band from Denver, Colorado, formed in 1996. The original lineup included Martyn Leaper on guitars and vocals, Rebecca Cole on drums, Jeff Almond on guitar, and Marc Willhite on bass. Their early releases, such as the "Come On & Hear" single and Paper Plane EP, gained attention within the indie rock scene. In 1998, they signed with spinART Records and released their debut album, Hooray for Tuesday. The band's lineup evolved over time, with members like Joanna Bolme joining and later leaving. Notable albums include Golden Street (2001), The Future's Always Perfect (2003), and It's a Bright Guilty World (2006). The Minders continued to release music intermittently, including Into the River in 2016 and Psychedelic Blacktop in 2022. Throughout their career, they were closely associated with the Elephant Six Collective and released music on various independent labels.
