The London Bulgarian Choir, an amateur group based in London, was formed in 2000 under Dessislava Stefanova's leadership. Specializing in Bulgarian folk music, they gained prominence through frequent performances and collaborations with artists like British Sea Power, Doves, Orlando Gough, and Nigel Kennedy. In 2006, the choir won the Open Choir Category of BBC Radio 3's Choir of the Year. Their debut album Alyana Galyana was released in 2008. They have toured extensively, including multiple visits to Bulgaria, and contributed to soundtracks for projects like the film Troy, the miniseries The Virgin Queen (which won a BASCA Ivor Novello award in 2007), and the podcast series Missing Cryptoqueen. Their discography also includes albums such as Goro Le Goro (2012) and Songs of Forbidden Love (2019).
