Biography

The Litter was an American psychedelic and garage rock band formed in 1966 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Their debut single "Action Woman" (late 1966) became a garage rock classic. The band released their first album Distortions in the summer of 1967, featuring cover songs. Their second album, $100 Fine (1968), included original material and reached Number 10 on the Twin Cities chart. Emerge (1969) was released under ABC Records and peaked at Number 175 on the Billboard 200. The Litter disbanded in 1972 but reunited sporadically for tours and new material, including the studio album Re-Emerge (1998).
