Biography

The 13th Floor Elevators were a pioneering psychedelic rock band formed in Austin, Texas in 1965. They released their debut single 'You're Gonna Miss Me' and album 'The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators' the following year. Enjoying cult success as part of the 1960s counterculture movement, they released the follow-up album 'Easter Everywhere' in 1967 but broke up in 1968 before the release of their third album 'Bull of the Woods' (1969).
