Biography
The Launderettes, an all-girl garage rock band from Oslo, Norway, formed in 1996. Their early releases included singles "I Wanna Jump Your Bones" and "Rebel Love", along with the EP Take Me To The Race. In 2002, they released their debut album, Shaken and Disturbed, which received mixed reviews but highlighted their energetic garage rock sound. The band's subsequent albums include Every Heart Is A Time Bomb (2005) and Getaway (2013), both of which showcased their evolving style. In 2007, they signed with Steven Van Zandtâs label Wicked Cool Records. Notable live performances included a gig at Ila Prison in 2005. AllMusic described their music as "driving, sexy, and high-energy revivalist garage rock."
