Biography

T.C. Atlantic was an American garage rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, active in the 1960s. The group consisted of Freddy Freeman on vocals and keyboards, Bob Wells on guitar, Joe Kanan on bass, and Rod Eaton on drums. Their first single, "I Love You So Little Girl" b/w "Once Upon a Melody," was released in September 1965. In June 1966, they released "Faces" b/w "Baby Please Don't Go," noted for its fuzz-toned organ and eastern scales, making it one of the earliest garage rock songs to display psychedelic characteristics. In 1967, they recorded a live LP, Live at the Bel-Rae Ballroom. Their final single, "Love Is Just" b/w "Faces," was released in May 1968 on Parrot Records. T.C. Atlantic disbanded shortly thereafter. Post-disbandment, their work has garnered attention from garage rock and psychedelic music collectors and enthusiasts, with "Faces" being particularly revered.
