Terry Knight & The Pack was an American garage rock band formed in Flint, Michigan in 1965. Fronted by singer Terry Knight, who had previously worked as a DJ and solo artist, the band initially consisted of Don Brewer on drums, Herm Jackson on bass guitar, Curt Johnson on lead guitar, and Bobby Caldwell on keyboards. The group's first single, "Tears Come Rolling"/"The Colour of Our Love", was released in 1965 under the name The Pack. After signing with Lucky Eleven label, they changed their name to Terry Knight & The Pack and released several singles that made regional Top 40s throughout Michigan, Ohio, and New York. Their cover of "I (Who Have Nothing)" reached Number 46 on the national charts in 1966, earning them an appearance on Dick Clark's television program Where the Action Is. The band released their debut album, Terry Knight & The Pack, in 1966, followed by Reflections in 1967. Notable tracks include "This Precious Time", covers of The Rolling Stones' "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" and "Lady Jane", and several originals by Terry Knight. In 1968, after a series of personnel changes and the release of their final single "Next To Your Fire", the band disbanded. Two members, Don Brewer and Mark Farner, later formed Grand Funk Railroad.
