Biography
The Last Battle, a Scottish indie folk band from Edinburgh, was formed in 2009 around the songs of singer/songwriter Scott Longmuir. The group initially recorded their music in bassist Paul Barrett's flat. Their debut single "Ruins" was released on July 5, 2010, followed by their first album Heart of the Land, Soul of the Sea on October 4, 2010. The album received critical acclaim and topped many bloggers' end-of-year polls. In 2011, they released the ep The Springwell, followed by their second album, Lay Your Burden Down, released in 2014. After a period of inactivity, The Last Battle quietly disbanded in 2015.
