Biography

The Contrast, a power pop band from Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom, was formed in 1999 by David Reid. The group initially comprised David Reid, Chris Corney, and James Crossley. In 2000, they released their debut album Mystery #1, followed by Wireless Days in 2002. The band gained recognition when Little Steven began playing their music on his Underground Garage radio show, leading to an invitation to perform at the Underground Garage Festival on Randall's Island in 2004. Their subsequent albums include Fade Back In (2004), Forget to Tell the Time (2005), and Underground Ghosts (2007). The band released a compilation of tracks from their Rainbow Quartz albums in 2007, which included new and unreleased material. Their sixth album, God Of Malfunction, was released on April 13, 2010, featuring Little Steven as executive producer.
