Biography
The Jealous Sound was an American rock band based in Los Angeles. The original lineup included vocalist and guitarist Blair Shehan, lead guitarist Pedro Benito, bassist John McGinnis, and drummer Tony Palermo. The band's self-titled debut EP was released in September 2000 on Better Looking Records. Their first full-length album, Kill Them With Kindness, followed in June 2003, also on Better Looking Records. This album ranked number 39 on Spin magazine's 40 Best Albums of 2003 list. The band signed with Mojo Records but later parted ways due to label changes and contractual issues. In October 2008, they released the EP Got Friends. After a hiatus, The Jealous Sound returned in 2012 with their album, A Gentle Reminder. On March 28, 2017, the band announced that they were officially concluded.
