The Fun And Games were an American sunshine pop group from Houston, Texas, formed by high school bandmates Rock Romano, Mike Cemo, Paul Guillet, and John Bonno. The band initially performed as The Six Pents and later as The Sixpentz before settling on The Fun And Games after signing with Mainstream Records. Their breakthrough came with the 1966 single "It Must Have Been The Wind", followed by the 1968 release of the single "The Grooviest Girl In The World", which peaked at number 78 on the Billboard Hot 100 in early 1969; this success coincided with the launch of their sole album Elephant Candy (1968) through UNI Records, produced by Gary Zekley and co‑written with Mitch Bottler, and later reissued with bonus tracks by Rev‑Ola Records in 2005. Throughout their brief career, the lineup changed, with Joe Dugan and Joe Romano joining and former members Bonno and Greer departing; the group disbanded shortly after the album’s release. Rock Romano continued to perform with Doctor Rockit, the Sisters of Mercy, the Sheetrockers, and Duck Soup, while Joe Romano passed away from cancer on August 4, 2017, at age 67, and Sam Irwin died on February 9, 2025, at age 81.
