The Fresh Beat Band was an American pop music group formed in 2009 for Nickelodeon's children's television series of the same name. Created by Scott Kraft and Nadine van der Velde, the band consisted of Yvette González-Nacer, Thomas Hobson, Tara Perry (who replaced Shayna Rose), and Jon Beavers, portraying characters Kiki, Shout, Marina, and Twist respectively. The group's debut album, The Fresh Beat Band: Music from the Hit TV Show, was released on January 31, 2012, selling 189,000 copies in the US that year. Their second collection, Vol 2.0: More Music from the Hit TV Show, followed on October 9, 2012. Notable singles included "Great Day" and "Here We Go". The band's music was featured prominently in their television series, which aired from August 24, 2009, to December 7, 2013. An animated spin-off, Fresh Beat Band of Spies, premiered on Nickelodeon in 2015, featuring the band members voicing their respective characters.
