Biography

The Freddy Jones Band, a roots rock group from Chicago, Illinois, was formed in 1990. The band's founding members included Wayne Healy and Marty Lloyd, who began playing together during their high school years and later attended Holy Cross College near South Bend, Indiana. Their self-titled debut album The Freddy Jones Band was released independently in 1992 and subsequently re-released by Capricorn Records with bonus material in 1994. The band's subsequent albums included Waiting for the Night (1993), North Avenue Wake Up Call (1995), which peaked at Number 186 on the US charts, and Lucid (1997). Notable songs from their discography include "In A Daydream", which reached Number 27 on the Mainstream Rock Chart in September 1994. The band experienced lineup changes and internal tensions, leading to a hiatus in 2000. They reunited in 2005 and continued to release albums, including Never Change (2015).
