Biography
The Fever was an American indie rock band from New York City, formed in 2001 around songwriting partners Geremy Jasper (vocals) and Chris Sanchez (guitar). The group initially expanded to a five-piece lineup with the addition of Keith Stapleton (bass), Achilles Tzoulafis (drums), and J. Ruggiero (organ). They signed with Kemado Records and released their debut EP Pink on Pink in 2002. Their first full-length album, Red Bedroom, followed in 2004, accompanied by tours supporting acts such as Hot Hot Heat and Death From Above 1979. After Sanchez's departure, the band regrouped as a four-piece with Stapleton switching from bass to guitar. They released the Minotour EP and their final album In the City of Sleep in 2006, before disbanding in the fall of that year. Notable achievements include an appearance on Last Call with Carson Daly in 2004, having the song "Ladyfingers" featured in the film Shortbus, and the track "Eyes on the Road" appearing on the soundtrack of Midnight Club: Los Angeles.
