The Favors is a duo formed in Los Angeles in 2025 by singer-songwriter Finneas and singer Ashe. Born in 1997, Finneas O'Connell first made a name for himself as a composer for his sister Billie Eilish, before going solo with the album Optimist (2021), followed by soundtracks for the films The Fallout (2022), Turning Red (with Ludwig Göransson, 2022), Vengeance (2022) and the TV series Disclaimer (2024). Meanwhile, he signs a new personal album entitled For Cryin' Out Loud! (2024), before turning his attention to The Favors project. For her part, Ashe (born Ashlyn Rae Wilson in 1993) shot to fame in 2019 with the single "Moral of the Story", a duet with Niall Horan that was charted worldwide, before going on to make the solo albums Ahslyn (2021), Rae (2022) and Willson (2024). Supported behind the scenes by two musicians, Rick Gourmet (guitar) and David Marinelli (drums), The Favors unveiled their first single, "The Little Mess You Made" (#50 on the Top 50 Rock & Alternative Songs chart), in June 2025, as a preview to The Dream album, along with other soft-rock singles such as "Hudson" and "Times Square Jesus".
