The Dead-End Alley Band was formed in Lima, Peru, in 2011 by Javier Kou and Sebastián Sánchez-Botta. Initially aiming to record covers of The Doors, they shifted their focus after discovering Phantom Divine Comedy, leading them to create dense, dark psychedelic music with blues undertones. Their debut album, Whispers of the Night, was released in December 2012 and reissued by Nasoni Records in March 2013, receiving critical acclaim and a nomination for Best Album at the Premios Generarock in Peru. In 2014, they released their second album, Odd Stories. The band embarked on their first European tour, Soaked in the Cold European Tour 2015, performing in five countries. Their third album, Storms, was released in August 2017, marking a shift in their sound and lineup.
