Biography

Orquesta del Desierto, an American desert rock band from Palm Desert, California, was formed in 2002 by multi-instrumentalist and producer Dandy Brown. Their music blended Stoner rock with acoustic influences and elements of Mexican and Latin rock. The group emerged from the Stoner rock scene of Palm Desert and featured notable musicians such as Alfredo Hernández on drums, Mario Lalli on guitar, Mike Riley on guitar and organ, Country Mark Engel on guitar, organ, and vocals, Adam Maples and Pete Davidson on drums and percussion, and Pete Stahl on vocals. Their debut album, Orquesta del Desierto, was released in May 2002, followed by their second album, Dos, in October 2003.
