The Dark Tenor (born April 14, 1980 in Graz) is a singer from Austria. Born Billy Andrews, the artist combines classical elements with pop music in his songs. The trained opera singer released his debut album Symphony of Light in 2014. With the album, The Dark Tenor immediately reached number 20 in the German charts. Numerous TV appearances and live concerts followed. The next album, Nightfall Symphony, followed in 2016. With this, The Dark Tenor managed to reach number 11 in Germany. After the further albums Symphony of Ghosts (2018, number 10 in Germany) and Alive - 5 Years (2019, number 12 in Germany), The Dark Tenor released a Christmas album, Christmas, in 2020. In the same year, Ludwig, an EP with reinterpreted songs by Beethoven, was released. With the tenth longplayer Album X in 2023, The Dark Tenor makes it into the top 10 in Germany at number 9. The artist celebrates his 10th stage anniversary with the album Alive 10 Years. At number 7, it once again reaches the top 10 in the German charts. The album Symphony of Light 2 is released at the beginning of April and climbs to number 6 in Germany.
