Biography
Adoro is a German classical crossover project founded in 2007 and consisting of the opera singers Peter Dasch (bass-baritone), Nico Müller (baritone), Jandy Ganguly (baritone) and Assaf Kacholi (lyric tenor). A former member is Laszlo Maleczky (tenor). The group combines classical opera voices with popular German songs, creating a unique classical-pop crossover that appeals to both traditional and modern music lovers. Their debut album Adoro was released in 2008 and reached number 1 in the German charts as well as number 5 in Austria and number 43 in Switzerland. Further successful albums followed, such as Für immer und dich (2009, number 2 in Germany), Glück (2010, number 3 in Germany) and Liebe meines Lebens (2011, number 4 in Germany). One of their best-known singles is "Liebe ist alles", which reached number 60 in the German charts in 2009. The group has released numerous albums, including Ein Abend mit Adoro - Live (2011), Träume (2012), Das Beste (2013), Nah bei dir (2014), Lichtblicke (2015) and their latest album Irgendwo auf der Welt (2017). These albums have earned them multiple gold, platinum and double platinum awards.
