Biography

The Dangerous Summer is an American rock band from Ellicott City, Maryland. Formed in 2006, they released their debut EP There Is No Such Thing As Science, which led to a signing with Hopeless Records in 2007. The EP was later reissued as If You Could Only Keep Me Alive the same year. Their debut studio album Reach For The Sun was released in 2009, reaching number 42 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, and included the song “The Permanent Rain,” which appeared in a trailer for the 2009 film Love Happens. The band followed with War Paint (2011) and Golden Record (2013). After lineup and internal changes, they reunited in 2017 and released their self-titled album in 2018, followed by Mother Nature (2019). In 2020, they ended their tenure with Hopeless Records and released Coming Home (2022) through Rude Records, followed by Gravity (2024).
