Biography

Straylight Run was an indie rock band from Baldwin, New York, formed in 2003 by John Nolan and Shaun Cooper. The group initially gained attention after posting six demo songs for free download on their official site. Their debut album, Straylight Run, was released in 2004 under Victory Records, selling over 11,000 copies in the first week and making it to the Billboard Top 100 Albums list. The band's second release, the EP Prepare to Be Wrong, followed in 2005. Their second full-length album, The Needles the Space, was released in 2007 under Universal Records. In 2010, Straylight Run announced an indefinite hiatus due to financial complications. The band reunited for a live show in 2021 at Mulcahy's in Wantagh, New York.
