Biography

K.K. Hammond, born and raised in London, England, is a British singer-songwriter and slide guitarist. She began her career as a musician with her slide guitar performances on social media. Her music has been featured on blues radio shows, including the Cerys Matthews BBC Radio 2 Blues Show and the Gary Grainger Blues Show on Bishop FM. Hammond released her debut single "The Ballad of Blue Docherty" in August 2020, followed by several other singles, including "In the Pines", "Devil's Kin Blues", and "The Ballad of Lampshade Ed". Her debut album Death Roll Blues was released on March 31, 2023. The album reached Number one on both the UK and US iTunes Blues charts and made it into the top 20 in the mainstream iTunes charts across all genres. It also debuted at Number seven on Billboard magazine's Blues Album chart.
