The Cliks, a Canadian rock band, were formed in Toronto, Canada, by Lucas Silveira, who serves as vocalist and guitarist. After a brief independent release in 2004, the band signed with Warner Music Canada in 2007, launching the debut album Snakehouse in 2007, which included the single "Oh Yeah". In 2009, the group released Dirty King, whose title track achieved moderate success on Canadian rock radio. The album earned a slot opening for the Newâ¯Yorkâ¯Dolls on their 2009 North American tour and appearances at Pride festivals. Subsequent releases included Black Tie Elevator (2013). The band became the first band with a transgender leader signed to a major label, marking a significant cultural milestone in Canadian rock.
