Biography

The Centurions, an instrumental surf rock band from Costa Mesa, California, were founded in the late 1950s by Dennis Rose. In 1963, they released their debut album Surfers' Pajama Party Recorded Live On The U.C.L.A. Campus on Del-Fi Records, featuring the track "Bullwinkle Part II". This song gained significant recognition when it was used in Quentin Tarantino's 1994 film Pulp Fiction. The band changed their name to The Centurians after 1967 for legal reasons. In 1995, Rose reformed the group as The Centurions and released a new album titled Bullwinkle Part III, performing at events such as Pierfest in Huntington Beach.
