Biography

The Bomboras, an American all-instrumental surf band from Los Angeles, were formed in 1994. Inspired by 1960s surf and garage music, they released several albums on Dionysus Records between 1995 and 1997. Their debut album Savage Island! was recorded in just two days for only $200. In summer 1997, Rob Zombie signed them to his label Zombie a Go-Go, distributed by Geffen Records. Notable albums include Swingin' Singles!, It Came From Pier 13! and Organ Grinder. The band disbanded in 2000. The Bomboras reunited for a show in Hollywood in 2007 and have since released comeback material including The Return Of The Up Up Sound (2021) and Songs From Beyond! (2023).
