Biography

The Bowls is a Korean psychedelic rock band consisting of five members: Seo Gunho (vocals and guitar), Park Joonsung (guitar), Yoon Hyunsub (bass and trumpet), Lee Seol (drums), and Lim Seonghyun (keyboard). The band debuted on October 21, 2015, with the EP The Ballad of Bowlin' Bowls. Three members (Seo, Park, and Yoon) originally met in middle school band, and Lee and Lim having known each other since middle school, joined later to form the current lineup. Initially called "Ttukbaegi-deul" (a nickname meaning "the pots"), they changed their name to The Bowls in December 2017 due to differing musical directions. Since debut, they have released 14 albums (3 full albums and 11 singles), appeared on countless TV music shows, performed at various concerts, and participated in numerous MU:CON events and festivals. Their single "So Much In Love," released on June 11, 2025, quickly rose to number 105 on Melon’s Top 500 chart within four days.
