Biography

The Boils was an American street punk and oi! band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, officially formed in 1996. Their early releases included the EP Hearts of the Oppressed (1995) and split EPs such as All He Ever Wanted Was a Good Education / Obedience Is Your Obligation (1996) and Tradition Ends (1996). The Boils released their debut album, World Poison, in 1999. The band's discography includes several notable albums including Pride and Persecution (2002), the EP When the Sun Goes Down (1998) and From the Bleachers (2005). The band toured, playing on the Warped Tour and sharing stages with bands like Oxymoron and The Casualties. Their song "The Orange and the Black" was adopted as the victory anthem for the Philadelphia Flyers starting in 2006. The Boils disbanded in 2009.
