Biography

The Bacon Brothers is an American country rock and folk rock band formed in 1995 by brothers Michael Bacon and Kevin Bacon. Their first studio album Forosoco (1997) marked a blend of folk, rock, soul, and country genres. Michael composed soundtracks for television series such as The Jewish Americans and The Kennedys, winning an Emmy in 2008. They released several albums including Getting There (1999), Can't Complain (2001), White Knuckles (2005), New Year's Day (2009), 36¢ (2014), and The Bacon Brothers (2018). Other notable albums include The Way We Love (2020), Erato (2022), and Ballad Of The Brothers (2024). Notable songs include "Tom Petty T-Shirt", which reached number 8 on iTunes and Spotify, and "When You Decide You've Stayed Too Long", featured on the soundtrack of the film Red Betsy. They toured throughout North America.
