Biography
It was in 2009, in Sweden, that Reine Fiske, then guitarist with indie rock band Dungen, and her friend Christopher Gunrup, who held the same position with Granada, decided to form a joint entity, The Amazing, adding keyboardist Fredrik Swahn, bassist Alexis Benson and drummer Moussa Fadera. The quintet immediately sprang into action, releasing a debut album of the same name with an ethereal pop-rock sound, to great critical acclaim. The following year saw the release of the Wait for a Light to Come EP, soon followed in 2011 by a second album, Gentle Stream, which consolidated the band's burgeoning reputation. In 2015, a third album entitled Picture You marked the real beginning of The Amazing's ascent, now combining rock with psychedelia. Just one year later, in 2016, the Swedish band hit the ground running with a fourth album, Ambulance, which echoed across Europe.
