Tessa Rain is a New Zealand indie folk singer-songwriter from Wellington. Rain collaborated with Age Pryor on the album Homerecordings. She wrote the song âFunny Shadowâ for that release, which was featured in the film Eagle vs Shark. As a member of the collective Fly My Pretties, Rain wrote the songs âCarrier Pigeonâ and âSmoke Meâ for the album The Return of Fly My Pretties, and âMauriâ for the album A Story. In August 2010, Rain released her debut solo album Dirt Poems. Rain performed on Radio New Zealand National in 2006 and 2007. She contributed vocals to recordings by Jess Chambers, Age Pryor, and Ryan Prebble. Rain toured as a solo artist and performed with musicians including Age Pryor, Ryan Prebble, Eva Prowse, and Jesse Rivest.
