Terminal Power Company was a British alternative music band formed in 1989 in Birmingham by Paul Aspel and John Roome. Designed to be a "cyberpunk" band, their influences included authors William Gibson and John Shirley, as well as films like Blade Runner and Aliens. Their first demo tapes were well-received, leading to the release of their debut single "Wired" in 1990. The band signed with Beggars Banquet Records and released their first album, Run Silent, Run Deep, in early 1991, followed by the singles "The Hunger, The Heat", and "Salvation". In 1992, they expanded to a four-piece lineup and recorded their second album, Red Skin Eclipse. The band continued touring but was dropped by Beggars Banquet in March 1994. They then signed with Stay Free Records and released their final album, Cyclops, in 1995 and split shortly after.
