Ted Lo, born around 1950 in Hong Kong, is a pianist, composer, arranger, and music producer. He studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, graduating in 1976, before moving to Los Angeles where he worked with Raul de Souza and joined the Ron Carter Quartet. Lo's career took off with collaborations on albums such as Parfait with Ron Carter (1982), Objects of Desire with Michael Franks (1982), and Mind Time with Dave Valentin (1987). In 1985, he released his debut album, Reflections of Love. Lo then formed the Asian American Jazz Trio with Rufus Reid and Akira Tana, releasing Sound Circle (1992) and Moon Over the World (1993). After returning to Hong Kong, he worked as an arranger for local artists such as Sammi Cheng and Gin Lee. In 2022, he released Words.
