Biography
Tarabas is a German metal band from Magdeburg, formed in 2004 by Alexander "Kutte" May and Steve Kuhnert. The initial lineup featured May (guitar and vocals), Kuhnert (bass), Karl Ludwig "Ludo" Stephan (guitar and growls), and Cassian Heim (drums). The band released its debut studio album, Aus alter Zeit, through Trollzorn Records in 2007. In early 2009, Kuhnert left the group and was replaced by Marcel "Azalon" Kramer. This formation produced the band's second studio album, Das neue Land, in 2009, which was released the following year through Trollzorn Records. Following the release, the band performed numerous concerts and festivals across Germany alongside various metal acts. In 2012, Stephan departed the group for personal reasons, leading the band into a period of inactivity. Tarabas resumed activity in 2023 after recruiting Florian König as a guitarist. The group released the EP Ãra through Trollzorn Records in 2024.
