Tamara Obrovac (born April 1, 1962) is a Croatian jazz and world music singer, flutist, composer, and songwriter from Pula. She began her career in Zagreb in the 1980s, combining Istrian musical traditions and dialects with contemporary jazz. Obrovac released her debut album, Triade, in 1996. Her discography includes Sve pasiva / All fades away (2003), Madirosa (2011), TransAdriaticum (2019), and Nuvola (2023). Obrovac collaborated with artists including Glauco Venier, Wolfgang Puschnig, and Fausto Beccalossi, performing over 500 international concerts. She composed scores for 40 theater plays and 10 films, including What Is a Man Without a Moustache? (2005). Obrovac received 9 Porin awards and was the first woman to win the Golden Arena for best film score. In 2004, she was nominated for a BBC Radio 3 World Music Award.
