Paul Newman, known professionally as Tall Paul and Camisra, was born on May 5, 1971, in London, United Kingdom. He began his career as a DJ at Turnmills nightclub, which was owned by his father, in 1985. This early experience led to residencies at notable venues such as Gardening nightclub and Zap Club in Brighton, and Trade in London. Tall Paul's breakthrough came with the release of "Let Me Show You" under the alias Camisra in 1998, which entered the mainstream charts as a Top 5 hit. Throughout his career, Tall Paul released several singles, including "Feel The Beat" as Camisra (1998) and "Clap Your Hands" (1999). His notable singles include "Rock da House" (1997), which reached Number 12 in the UK, and "Be There" (1999), which peaked at Number 45. Tall Paul is also known for his remix work, notably transforming INXS's "Never Tear Us Apart" into "Precious Heart", which charted at Number 14 in 2001. His other notable remixes include works for Liquid and the Stone Roses.
