Biography

Tad Robinson, born June 24, 1956, in New York City, is an American soul blues singer. He graduated from Indiana University's School of Music in 1980 and began his career playing regionally with the Hesitation Blues Band. In 1985, he became a Hohner harmonica endorser. Robinson moved to Chicago and joined Dave Specter & The Bluebirds, contributing vocals to their 1993 album Blueplicity. His debut solo album, One to Infinity, was released on Delmark Records in 1993. Subsequent albums include A New Point of View (2007), Did You Ever Wonder? (2004), Last Go Round (1998), and Real Street (2019). Robinson has performed at notable festivals across several countries, including the United States, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. He has been nominated for multiple W.C. Handy Blues Awards and Blues Music Awards between 1997 and 2016.
