Swirl 360, an American pop band, was formed in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, in 1996 by twin brothers Denny and Kenny Scott. Initially known as Fools of Faith and later Dream in Color, the duo recorded demos that caught the attention of music attorney Christopher Sabec at Austin's SXSW conference. Sabec signed them to Mercury Records under the name Swirl 360. Their debut album Ask Anybody, released in mid-1998, featured the top 5 hit "Hey Now Now", co-written with John Shanks. The band's second single "Candy In The Sun" became a summer chart-topper and was featured on the soundtrack to the film Never Been Kissed. Despite early success, album sales were impacted by the merger of Polygram with Universal Music Group, leading to Mercury Records dissolving into Island Def Jam Records. Swirl 360 was subsequently released from their contract. In 2004, under Atenzia Records, they released California Blur, which saw limited U.S. release. The band later renamed themselves Echo Jet and had a top 40 hit on HotAC with "Wave" in the summer of 2008. Denny Scott formed Rock Paper Pistols in 2013, while Kenny Scott continued his music career under the 18 Below moniker. Swirl 360's notable soundtrack appearances include Never Been Kissed and National Lampoon's Van Wilder.
