Susan Christie, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is an American singer. She studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, where she met future music producer and director John Hill. Their first collaboration was with the folk group The Highlanders, performing live at various festivals during the mid-1960s. In 1966, Christie released her breakthrough single "I Love Onions", written by Hill and David Cochrane. The novelty folk song peaked at Number 63 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and reached Number 5 on the CHUM Chart in Canada. Following this success, Christie attempted to release two more novelty pop singles through Columbia Records: "Tonight You Belong To Me" and "All I Have To Do Is Dream", neither of which made the charts. In 2006, her solo album Paint A Lady was released commercially for the first time by Finders Keepers Records after languishing in obscurity for decades. The album featured the song "Rainy Day", which was included in the film Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022).
