Biography

Supermachiner was an experimental music project initiated in 1994 by Jacob Bannon and Ryan Parker. The duo began recording four-track demos but the project remained nameless until 1998 when Bannon and Parker revived Supermachiner during a hiatus from their main band Converge, developing the material into Rise of the Great Machine. Recorded at GodCity Studios with Kurt Ballou, the album was released by Undecided Records in 2000. The project's thematic focus on technology and individuality set it apart from Converge’s sound. In 2009, Deathwish Inc. released Rust, a double CD featuring remastered tracks from Rise of the Great Machine along with additional audio experiments. Supermachiner disbanded in 2000.
